The core group just completed the CC 14 week Introductory Course. There were 11 participants who met bi-weekly for 7 months. Teresa Wan reports that they found CC helped in many ways - raising self awareness, responsibility for our triggers, awareness of feelings and needs, deepening our ability to connect with self and others using empathy. Six of the more experienced members took turns facilitating the group meetings. The group plans to continue meeting monthly, beginning in September.

Chris and Veronica Chan are currently running a 4-week CC Youth Group in July-August. While they have already introduced CC to Chinese parents in the past 2 years, this is their first attempt to bring CC to Chinese youths. They believe that this strategy can bridge the gap between parents and children who have very different, sometimes conflicting, cultural beliefs and values between the East and the West.
In September, they are planning two separate 4-week CC trainings – one in Cantonese for the Chinese community and one in Mandarin for the Transfiguration Church.
